1. Your clicks and scores never reach us
This comes first because a tool that measures what you do with your hands should be explicit about it. Every click and key press you make on this site — the count, the timing, the resulting CPS and CPM, and the band label — is processed entirely inside your own browser by JavaScript running on your device. None of it is transmitted to us, written to any server, or received by us in any form.
You do not have to take that on trust. The site is a set of static files with no backend to send anything to: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the network tab, and run a full test — no request fires while you click. The counters and the score live in the page's memory and vanish when you reload or close the tab.
2. Information we collect
The test requires no account, no sign-up and no personal information, and there is no contact form anywhere on the site. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other identifying detail in order to use any page here. If you choose to email us via the contact page, that message goes to an ordinary mailbox in the normal way and does not pass through this website.
3. Local storage used by the tool
The one thing this site stores on your device is your personal best. When a run finishes and beats your previous record, the tool writes a small entry to your browser's local storage, containing the run length, the input mode, the click count, the score and the time it was set. There is one entry per run length per input mode — a ten-second mouse best and a ten-second spacebar best are separate.
That entry stays on your device. It is not a cookie, it is not sent with any request, and we have no way to read it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it, a private window never keeps it, and if storage is blocked entirely the test works exactly as before — it simply cannot remember your best score.
4. Cookies and third-party advertising
This site may display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Users in the EEA and the UK may also be shown a consent prompt where required by law. These advertising cookies are set by the ad vendor and are entirely separate from the test itself — no click, timing, score or personal best is available to them.
5. Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free aggregate analytics (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and see which pages are useful. No personally identifying information is collected, and nothing you do in the tool — no click counts, timings, scores or stored bests — is ever included in analytics data.
6. Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you buy something through them. That never changes the price you pay, and it never influences the scoring, the published tables or anything this site says about what a result means.
7. Links to our other sites
We link to other tools we maintain, such as a keyboard tester and a Minecraft circle generator. Those are separate websites on their own domains with their own privacy policies; this policy covers this site only.
8. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings, and every part of this test will keep working — none of its measurement depends on either. You are equally welcome to use the site with an ad blocker. This service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Scores are a measurement, not a verdict
A result describes how many clicks your browser received in a fixed window. It is not a health assessment, not a diagnosis of your hardware, and not a ranking against other people — the band names are this site's own published definitions and nothing more, as set out on the about page. Nothing here is medical advice; if clicking causes you pain, that is a question for a qualified professional rather than for a web page.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Material changes will be reflected on this page; there is no separate announcement.
11. Contact
